Biography

Since November 2017, Hendrik Wermter has been Vice President of Sales for polymer applications at Budenheim. He graduated in polymer chemistry from the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg, where he received his PhD in 2002. With more than 20 years of experience, he holds a strong record in the field of plastics and polymer additives. In various positions at Ciba Speciality Chemicals and Budenheim, he gained broad knowledge within R&D, Business Development, Product Management, and Sales.

His focus has always been on sustainable technologies, such as Halogen-free flame retardants, environmentally friendly laser marking additives, organic solvent-free laser welding technology, lightweight materials by endothermic foaming, additives for energy-efficient processes, and circular economy. One of his main areas of application has been halogen-free flame retardants.
